This service is provided by two of the most sophisticated civil Super Puma AS332 MkII helicopters, which have been extensively modified with state of the art search and rescue equipment
Each aircraft has a rescue coverage of up to 200 nautical miles
One aircraft is based at Sumburgh Airport in the Shetland Islands with the other based on an offshore BP platform.
During December 2007 Bond SAR aircraft carried out the 100th mission since commencement of operations in February 2006.
